Counselling and Psychotherapy
Palgrave Macmillan’s lively programme of Counselling and Psychotherapy textbooks and professional paperbacks is geared to the needs of students, trainees, educators and practitioners across the fields of counselling, psychotherapy and family therapy. Our aim is to offer variety, interest and consistent quality in what we publish and, wherever possible, to show how theory and practice are two sides of the same coin.
Our long-standing Basic Texts in Counselling and Psychotherapy series, now edited by Arlene Vetere and Rudi Dallos, is home to a wide range of thought-provoking texts based in systemic, psychodynamic and psychoanalytic approaches. These books are characterised by their engagement with theory and vivid practice illustrations. The Professional Handbooks in Counselling and Psychotherapy series offers a set of practical and pluralistic guides to the issues facing practitioners and would-be practitioners. We also publish stand-alone texts focusing on topics of particular interest to training and practice.
